New entries & returning regulars entered for SGCC weekend
The Buddy's Home Furnishings Blizzard Series at Five Flags (FL) Speedway and The Miller Lite Series at Mobile (AL) International Speedway, combined to form The Sunoco Gulf Coast Championship, rolls on this weekend with a regular Friday/Saturday Pensacola/Mobile doubleheader. There will be a nationally known new face, as well as some regulars returning after brief and lengthy absences.
You read it first at Z3Sports.com presented by Freightliner that NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Ron Hornaday will enter The Miller Lite 100 at Mobile in a Rick Crawford owned car.
You also read it here first that Donald Long, father of Snowball Derby winner and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Johanna Long, will suit up and race for the first time in a couple of years or so.
Most recently, Houston, Texas' Casey Smith has announced he will return to SGCC racing this weekend. Smith, always a tough competitor, missed the first round of The SGCC in March, and has not raced since his appearance in The Rattler 250 in early March.
